Silvey Family Farm has been raising cattle and sheep since 1979.  We began as a hobby farm and expanded to include raising animals for 4H livestock shows.  We currently have 3 generations of Silveys living on the farm, and look forward to fostering our love of animals within the latest generation.  We believe in raising livestock in a low stress environment.  Our animals are pasture raised and grass fed for nearly all of their lives.  We raise Gelbvieh and Balancer cattle (Gelbvieh/Angus cross), as well as Suffolk/Dorsett based sheep.  Nearly all of our momma cows have spent their adult lives on our farm, and we only bring bulls in to improve genetics.  We are predominantly a “freezer meat” business, but will be selling retail and wholesale cuts in the near future.   We serve the counties surrounding Montgomery county Tennessee.
